Chinatown Action

I origionally was going to go to Cupertino with a bunch of friends to another Pokémon TCG event. But at the 11th hour, I didn't have a car, so that idea was shot down. But rather than leave my friends hanging, I got to Oakland as soon as I could to give them the bad news. Right now I'm on a BART train.... #1 rail system in the nation (that isn't saying much).

Star Guitar. [tsh tsh... tsh] .... Fortunatly there was a big community event today (the Oakland Chinatown Streefest), so at least once I got to Oakland, I didn't need to leave right away. Tee hee!

We were there pretty early (like... 9:30 AM), so there weren't many people there (yet). Interestingly enough, most of the people were hanging out at the booths with the better free junk.

It was bleedin' HOT in Oakland... because we were inland a bit and no breeze from the Bay hit us. So any tents under the shade were prime real estate.

One of the many band stages... one of them sold mixers! 		MMMMM.... barbeque.... Tyrone and I had some bbq for lunch, chicken kebabs. With lots of hot sauce and on a french roll? Delish! I went through three cans of soda... I think I have a drinkin' problem.

Lots more people showed up! ... Later on, Tyrone and I wandered to an art booth... interestingly enough there were a ton of Koreans in there doing Korean art. Odd seing that this was a CHINAtown thing. [shrugs]

I still thought it was pretty fun. I also got myself a t-shirt as well. :D
