Inbound to Baltimore

There were three big reasons why I wanted to do Otakon. One: My friend Jimmy lives there, so aside from free room-and-board, I got to hang out with him for at least longer than I did last year. Likewise, my friend Jen (of Mystic Revolution fame, www.mysticrev.com), her boyfriend Brion (of Flipside fame, flipsidecomics.com) and their fellow Chicagoian, Dirk (of Paradigm Shift fame, paradigmshiftmanga.com) were also going to be there, and I haven't seen them in some time. Two: Otakon is, allegedly, the second largest anime convention in the US... that is to say, if I did extremely well at FanimeCon and it's only like the 8th largest in the nation, then I can only do better at the SECOND largest.... right? Three: Well, it's pretty much vacation time for me.
